A large crowd of prospective bidders and on lookers alike gathered at the Quality Inn in Bardstown, Nelson Country to bid & buy on the 7 properties offered for sale by the Century 21 Realty Group Hagan Auction Team. The Auction Team held auctions for William Patrick Mattingly of Bardstown, the Arthur Edward Karr Estate, and the Emmitt Lee Karr Estate, Mary E. Buckles, Power of Attorney for the Heirs, and Administrator of the Estates, of Bardstown.
Selling first by Power Point were the Karr Estate Properties, being Tracts 1, 2, & 2A located on Hwy 245 in Cox’s Creek. The winning bidders of the day were as follows: Lonnie E. & Ann GayLynn Weathers of Bardstown, purchasing Tract 1, 1.652 acres & older house for a total of $46,200.00; followed by Bill Luckett of Bardstown buying Tracts 2 & 2A, 1.064 acres for a total transaction price of $44,000.00. Immediately following the Karr Estates was the Mattingly Auction, also sold by Power Point. The Mattingly Auction offered 4 properties located on Plum Run Road, and 1 property on Deatsville Road: the winning bidders were as follows: David G. Newton of Bardstown, purchasing 9.83 acres located on Plum Run Road for a total transaction price of $67,650.00, followed by James Kenneth & Brenda S. Riley of Bardstown, buying the house & .97 acres located on Plum Run Road, for a total of $53,900.00; Amanda Trent and Melissa & Ronald Trent of Bloomfield, purchasing the mobile home & 5.00 acres located on Plum Run Road, for a total of $50,600.00; Earl & Georgia Briney of Bardstown & Ken & Rachel Briney of Bloomfield buying the modular home & 1.03 acres located on Plum Run Road for a total price of $34,560.00, and the final winning bidder of the day being Kathryn S. Mudd of Louisville, purchasing the store & .234 acre lot located on Deatsville Road, for a total transaction price of $31,350.00. At approximately 12:30 that afternoon the Century 21 Realty Group Hagan Auction Team moved to Plum Run Road, to sell al full line of personal property.
